On Sunday January 18, Great Grandma Marla passed away. We love her and cherish every moment that we were able to spend with her right up until the very end. On her last day, she was able to hold me and say good bye to me one last time. My mom and dad and I will miss her very much. This picture above was snapped four days after I was born, on her last trip to visit my parents in Pacifica.
We spent most of the last two weeks in Tracy with great grandma. When we would come home, we mostly just messed around the house.

I went to the doctor's last week. Weighed in at 13.25 lbs and about 23.5 inches.
I'm smiling pretty regularly now with even a few rare giggles, which have yet to be captured on camera, so this will have to suffice:
Mom and dad bought a new (that is to say used) car. A 2002 VW Passat Wagon with a busted back seat cupholder. After they signed the papers with the car salesman, I heard dad mutter a goodbye to his reckless youth and a hello to his sensible fatherhood.
Well, me and the old folks are off to Fort Bragg for a few days. We'll check in to let you know how my first trip went.
. . . Mom caught dad and me in an afternoon siesta on Saturday . . .
Great Grandma update: After a difficult weekend, great grandma Marla seems to be doing well enough. Mom and dad and me went up and hung out with her this weekend. I guess the glow of a certain baby helped perk up her spirits. We love her and dad thinks we'll be ok to go back to Pacifica for a few days.
Since the beginning of the month, my dad has been taking his paternity leave from work.
It's been nice having the old man around as a pillow
We spent a few days in Tracy visiting Great-Gramma and her sisters Aunty Judy and Aunty Tina. When we came home, mom and dad caught me in fit of smiley squealy happiness --
Well, hope your new year's going ok. Mom and dad say to call if anyone needs anything.
